* walks towards a barren patch of earth and crouches down picking up some of the dirt and letting it run through my fingers as I stand up *

hmmm...Somethings....not right.

*looks towards the sky and sees a humanoid figure falling from the sky from a distance*

..This is worth looking into.

* starts walking toward the fallen person *

Teeth were gritted as Pain forced it's way through the muscled body, all aching like a battle had been waged but lost, long hair silver in color glowed slightly as the full moon shone down upon the silken strands, the light also running along the blade down by the Mans side.
"Not a memory..." the man mumbled under his breath as he stood to his full height after picking up the weapon.
He looked up to the sky, green eyes taking in the clear sky.
I....Must right the wrong...mother...NO! Jenova won't find a willing puppet THIS time round"
with a flick to his coat Sephiroth walked towards the familiar church, his one guilt bigger than all the others driving him onwards.

"The gift of the goddess"
Floating within her embrace....drifting... as almost forgotten lines resurfaced in his mind. Lines whose meaning he struggled to grasp. He closed his eyes as memories began to form. Duty, friendship...anger, betrayal.

"My soul, corrupted by vengeance, hath endured torment to find the end of the journey..." The end of the journey? "It seems I am called upon to continue my journey!"

He felt the lifestream weakening as he fell faster towards the world below.
"The world needs a new hero!"

"Ah, yes" His anger seemed to draw him closer and closer to the ground below. A single wing unfurled as his body became solid, alive. "It is not yet time for slumber"

"The goddess has awakened me for a purpose...I shall fulfill my duty and protect my honor!"

Continuing his walk towards the area where the mystery person fell from the heavens,Vincent quiets his paces as he see's the person in question. Scratching the back of his head and looking out towards Midgar was Zack,as he turned and started to walk,Vincent puts his back agianst one of the large stones surrounding the area. "..How is this possible" Vincent strokes his chin and looks at the sky as a bright green flash,to quick for human eyes to percive,streaked across the night sky. "The lifestream?.." Vincent peered around the rock he was behind to see Zack walking towards the damaged city.

Vincent checks his weapon and walks to the edge of the cliff where Zack stood "time to get some information"

Vincent tilts his head down slightly while keeping an inquistive eye on Zack ' We've met?...hm..In any case,Its good to meet you Zack..,Ive heard of you. Hows it feel to be alive again?" as Vincent casually gestures to the flowers where Zack met his end previously.

Sephiroth Walked onwards towards the church, shaking his head at the damage he had caused to this retched place called the slums, shamed that his insanity had caused many deaths to the people calling it home.... his bangs covered one eye as he tilted his head sideways then up feeling the pressure change in the air, his eyes alight onto the one winged man in red and he gave a sigh
"hmph not only do I have to see the wrong I caused, I now have to deal with the one I used to call friend... Genesis.." his lips twitched in annoyance and anticipation at the confrontation he knew the dramatic brunette would cause if they came face to face

"my redemption starts here It seems,let's see what the goddess's messenger has in store for me. Sephiroth gave a dark chuckle in amusement, this would prove very interesting.

Genesis hovered over the old church in what was once called 'the Slums. Looking down he noticed a white-haired figure in black striding towards the church. SEPHIROTH! Emotions washed over him as he clenched his fists. 'My old friend Sephiroth. Of course he would be resurrected as well. Didn't I just say it was the time again for heroes?'
Genesis drew closer to the ground...close enough to hear his friends laughter. "Why, isn't it the Perfect Monster?!" Genesis shook his dark hair out of his eyes and laughed."Ripples form on the waters surface
The wandering soul knows no rest."

"Have you come to survey the damage or to continue what you started?
" My friend, the fates are cruel
There are no dreams, no honor remains!"

Genesis came to a halt in the air and landed in front of his friend with a sarcastic smile on his lips. " The perfect meeting of monsters, yes?"

"surely you are too old for such childishness Genesis? I desire no destruction this time round , even though loveless is enough for anyone to lose their sanity"

Sephiroth laid a hand on the hilt of the Masamune in case Genesis would make a move to strike. he stood there in front of genesis for a few moments in pure silence, a slight wind picking up which moved strands of his hair away from his face.
"Monsters in past we have been, myself worst than most, but the future is now dear friend I and many more I suspect have risen again to fight a new or old enemy, maybe even Angeal himself, as I'm sure you would desire to met him again as I do, the go between our pointless feud.
this needs to stop there is more room for heroes now Genesis..now is the time to act like one.
let us put the past aside shall we? Sephiroth took his hand away from the sword and held it out to genesis, a slight smile gracing his lips.
"The goddess wishes it as does the life stream, lets stand together and fight like the heroes we are meant to be, but of course that is up to you Genesis what side of fate will you choose messenger?

" Child-like wonder is inspired by the goddess. It is not childishness to be wary of monsters, my friend....but a hard lesson learned. Insane I may be, but then my soul had been twisted before I even was born. Only the 'gift' has been my solace....and my strength."

"Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul."

"We have been brought back among the living for a reason.Angeal, if he too has been brought to life, surely would choose the role of Hero. It is his legacy after all.

Shall the three friends unite? Our paths combine to fight the evil that is sucking the lifestream dry?
Genesis watched with narrowed eyes as Sephiroth let go the hilt of his famous sword. "Haha! You presume to know the will of the goddess!? Well then, heroes we shall be! Angel or Devil is yet to be seen!" Genesis flung his arms wide and shook back his hair.

"My friend, your desire
Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess."

A matching smile graced his lips as he grasped Sephiroth's proffered hand.

Vincent nodded slightly in response to Zacks remark,There are others out there,weather friend or foe had yet to be seen. "Something isnt right with the lifestream...I was thinking of taking a look at some places,see if I can find some answers" Vincent walks past Zack and stops a few paces ahead and turns his head,his black hair floating in the night breeze "What you do is up to you..But..you'll have my help if you need it....just dont kill Cloud out of fright if you see him' Vincent smirked as he flicked his crimison robe outwards and started walking towards the long ruined Shinra complex.

Sephiroth's lips twitched again, genesis hadn't changed a bit. he closed his gloved hand around genesis's own, looking directly into the brunette's eyes to gauge the truth in his poetic spiel , satisfied with the expression he let of of genesis's hand and nodded towards the direction of the church.

"my current desire; Genesis is to Visit the church, Angeal's sword will be there, and If he has been brought back that is where he'd go.
besides to first unburden my self of the atrocious I committed in the past, I need the forgiveness of the Ancient for my grievous error in her death and what better place would there be than a church?" He turned to face the direction of the church seeing it in the distance, his enhanced eyes seeing it closer than it was, still a long way to go.

Sephiroth looked to the sky again and his wing unfurled, he glanced at genesis again and rose a brow
Let us fly towards fate, what do you say?

Vincent stops and turns partway to face Zack,somewhat curious of his intentions "Sure.....we can part ways when we get to Midgar." While Vincent lets Zack catch up he crouches down and pulls a bunch of withered wild flowers up with his golden claw and shows them to Zack. "This sort of decay isnt natural,I want to find out whats happening before things get worse." Vincent drops the dead fawna and looks towards Midgars city lights "We should go." The moonlight luminating the ground they walk on,hopefully a pathway to answers.

The walk was mostly silent, Vincent's eyes scanned the area with each step closer to Midgar's ruins. The rocky landscape made it the perfect place for hiding and at the same time just as dangerous,Vincent,a few steps ahead of Zack casually placed his right hand into his robe. Vincent turned with inhuman speed pointing his three-chambered gun Death Penalty at Zack,the moonlight glistening off the elaborate metal barrels. .."Get Down".. Within a milisecond of Zack beginning to crouch Vincent lets off a round, the gunshot echoes for a breif second before it was drowned out by the monsterous wail of a wild Death Claw. Vincents shot severing one of its arms,the Death Claw in a state of shock and frenzy lunges at Vincent,shoving Zack to the side.

The Death Claw with its long talons swung itself at Vincent in an attempt to pin him to a neaby rock,Vincents reflexes were to fast as the wild creature impacted against the solid stone sending shards of rock in all directions.To gain some distance,Vincent hopped from rock to rock before loading a round in the empty chamber of his weapon and facing the mad beast. "Zack keep alert..there is more then one" barely managing to offer the advice before ducking a furious swipe of a large claw,while close enough Vincent fires another two thundering shots at the animal,one ripping through its shoulder, leaving one of its remaining arms dangling and useless,the second round grazing the Death Claws head,its pale fur was now a mess of crimison and rage.
