Shaking her head of these thoughts she returned to her professional demeanor again. "There have been rumour reports of this happening in Cosmo Canyon as well, Sir. A few of the local.. crazies, shall we say, have claimed to see villagers of long ago roaming the area." She reported to him as she followed Rufus to the elevator.

Rufus looked at Cissnei. "Just becareful. He is still himself for the most part at the moment. But he has been infected by Jenova. For safety measures they will be on the level above us. I'm sure you two will cross paths eventually."

Rufus raised a brow at Cissnei's report.
"That wouldn't surprised me in the least. They're probably not as crazy as the locals think anymore."
He could only smirk a little at that. "You can thank DeepGround for their interference."

Kadaj scowled at the helicopter pilot who had gotten far too close for comfort before turning his back on the WRO building. "It is a few days walk to Junon," he called back to his brothers. "This place is far closer - and with flight we should reach Mother much sooner."

He didn't wait for a response, or to see if his brothers were okay - he was simply determined to be at Mother's side as soon as it was possible. He shouldn't have forsaken Her the way he did... he knew he must be punished for it.

For that, he would need to be at Her side.

Cissnei nodded at Rufus' words. "Of course, Sir. Do we know how the infection is spread?" She asked, not wanting to risk herself if she did something wrong at the wrong time.

She stepped into the elevator as the doors opened and held them open for Rufus to follow.

Rufus stepped into the elevator.
"It's through skin on skin contact."
He looked at her.
"I know how you feel about him. I thought it was best I warn you though."
He pushed the button for level 12.
The doors closed and they began their decent to the 12th floor.

"How I..?" Cissnei shook her head and folded her arms stubbornly. "I don't know what you're talking about, Sir. Be rest assured I don't plan on have any skin on skin contact with Fair." She looked up at the numbers, watching them as they moved towards the twelve. "How many are infected and are they all infectious?" She knew Tseng would update her later but there was no harm in finding out some information now while she could.

Rufus chuckled. "That's good to hear. I'm hoping they stay to their floor, but knowing Cloud and Zack both it's very unlikely."
It took him a moment to count the infected that he was knew of.
"Sephiroth, Genesis, Zack, Cloud, Yuffie, Cloud's adopted son, the remnants. That I am aware of. Level 14 up was infected, but it was dealt to quickly."

The lift binged and the doors opened Rufus stepped out holding the door open for Cissnei this time.

Cissnei smiled at the President and followed him out, always on duty of course. Even in this so-called neutral zone there were enemies everywhere and you couldn't let yourself relax when you're on escort or guard duty.

"That is a lot of infection, do we know what her plan is this time or is it the same old story?" She asked, walking with him down the hall. It was amusing to her that Sephiroth was still there and not running off to his precious Mother again, but she wasn't about to voice that out loud.

Rufus shook his head. "I'm afraid I don't know what she's planning. But Midgar is slowly being consumed by her living infection."
He looked at Cissnei. "I got a sample from the outskirts sent it off to the lab. I got the results back but they lost the sample I took. It seems like she is continuing down her old path. But I'm not to sure. She went after Zack he was the first she touched, from what I heard Nero was the second. That's the only contact she's had with any living person. It seems that's all she needed to do, to start this chain of events."
He stopped and swiped his card allowing them access to the floor.
"I'll get you a key card for this floor, I have one in my office."

Cissnei took his words in carefully, processing this information. "So the infection is being spread because Zack was an idiot like usual?" She asked, a slight hint of amusement in her voice over that.

Once the door opened she walked through after Rufus and followed him closely to his office, looking around and memorizing the layout as best she could for now, just in case...

Rufus chuckled and he pulled out a key card for Cissnei handing it over to her.
"Well the fact is, Sephiroth, Vincent, Genesis, Zack, Yuffie they were all in the Shinra HQ at the same time."
Rufus had often wondered about this. "Just different levels."

Rufus looked to the paper burnt to ashes in his metal waste paper basket.
"Jenova just happened to be revived in the very room Zack and Yuffie were in. Luck of the draw."
Rufus let out a breath.
"I suppose we should be happy it was Zack and not the level Sephiroth was on."

If Jenova had got to Sephiroth then, Rufus felt it would have been over.
"I think the only thing we can do it try to keep them apart. Sephiroth appears sane, but he is her favorite."
Only time would tell until Jenova stepped foot outside Midgar, if her children didn't go to her.
He feared she would probably kill them be it via her thought patterns or coming out this way physically.

He hadn't gotten it, he had missed one. Denzel ached to become stronger even though he knew it would happen in time. He had to be patient, even Cloud didn't become as strong as he was overnight. It would come, and Zack had said he almost got it. That made him a bit happier, especially since he had only missed one. When the extra accessory slot was placed in his hand. He expected the punishment of ten pushups, after all that was the punishment that was said if he didn't do it right.

Instead there was a reward but if Zack forgot about the pushups he wasn't going to remind him and Zack did say it was for doing as well as he did. So he must've been doing well enough. Briefly he wondered if Cloud would be proud of what he had been able to do.

He hurried after Zack and a smile broke once he heard what the next lesson would be. "Okay!"

Denzel could barely remain still once he heard that. This was the lesson he was most excited for, so he could learn how to not get hit like before. He had seen Zack and Cloud dodging them in battle, even Yuffie dodged the bullets, and he wanted to be like that, to not have to be scared of them. His mind hungered to learn as much as he could, having never having wanted to learn so much, not since Mrs. Ruvi had given him the book of monsters.

When Zack suddenly stopped Denzel didn't notice at first and took several steps ahead but then turned around. "What's wrong Zack?"

He didn't know if he even expected an answer but continued to walk, moving back towards the other's side but then looked up as they were stopped. WRO soldiers... not long ago he wanted to be one of them. He hungered it so he could get strong. But now there was another way, ever since meeting Zack he had begun to see that he could get stronger with a teacher without needing to join the WRO.

The thirteenth floor, locked away so they wouldn't make anyone else sick. "Will we still be able to train tomorrow?"

The up-draft from the chopper caused a sudden rush of air near Yazoo, his arms raising up to defend against it. His wing fluttered violently, pain shooting through his shoulder, causing him to instinctively fold it in to stop the pain, his mind so unused to the concept of flight that it did not occur to him that it would be dangerous to do so.

The only warning his brothers had was a sharp gasp as he started to fall quickly!

"Always the work'o'holic Tseng." cid snorted after the red head ran off after the Rufus. Cid kinda blamed himself for that, after all he gave Tseng the advice of being from somewhere different did not mean you had to take the treatment others gave you. Tseng always reminded Cid of a young Cid, back when he moved to Midgar. Everyone always poked at his speech pattern, but it was Cid laughing by the end of it.

"Kinda wish @#%&^*' &^%#@'d stayed', eh?" Cid nodded to the brothers, "Least then we could o' kept a #$@%&^' eye on them or sumthin'. Ah well, no point !@&%#$' crying over spilt piss"

Cid turned to face Tseng again, eyes focued only on the TURK leader, "So Fill me in, eh? $#^% I wanna be 'ere when my #$@*^&' ship gets cleaned ta make sure they dun &%^$ it up."

Looking through the keycards for the closest room, he pulls the card he wants and heads for the door. Upon entering he turns and locks his door. Pulling out his sword, he relaeses the lock, and seperates the blades. Setting them out on his bed, he inspects each blades and hones them to remove any nicks. As he finishes each blade he checks the fusion mechanism to see if its been damaged, or needs cleaning.

Checking the last blade, the base for his Fusion Sword, he checks the slots for each blade for damage, seating and removing the various blades. Aftee he is satisfied with the condition of the blades, he begins oiling them indvidually, assuring that they last for a bit longer.

Still fihting the guilt Jenova had forced upon him, and he guesses the others as well, knowing thet were all connected now, he tries to sense where everyone was. Relaxing his mind he feels a mjority of sensation located near himself, with a distinct three moving away.

Should have known those three would be the first to run to her. He searches again and tries to focus on just one person, ……… Sephiroth …………… thats a suprise, hes still here! Between him and the remnants i figured hed be the second to leave...

Tseng shook his head at Cid's more than colourful language and he gestured for Cid to follow him away from the group, over to the other side of the airship. "As far as we're know the lifestream is purging itself and releasing most if not all those who died in the past. There are reports from around the planet that this isn't just localized to our little party here." He shook his head. "As for the reason, we believe it is Jenova's fault, though we aren't sure on that fact just yet."

He ran a hand through his hair as the wind blew it into his face and turned to look at Cid. "She's taken over the old headquarters and her infection is spreading throughout Midgar as a living organism, swallowing it all up. Soon it'll reach Edge. On top of that is the fact that it seems that those who are infected by her, apart from becoming her slaves, gain wings. At least those who keep their mind.. level 14 and above was infected and everyone one of them was.. for lack of a better term, zombiefied. Not a one had a mind of his own, just soulless puppets with a lust for killing and spreading their infection to everyone else." He shook his head. "We've dealt with that mess, we just have to be very careful not to get infected outside, if Jenova wins..." he trailed off, knowing he didn't have to explain the rest of that thought.

That was then he noticed the black hound at his feet. "Dark?" He frowned and knelt down to pet the beast lightly. "What's wrong, boy? I thought you were with Reno."

Loz, already lower then his brothers as he took off last to give the last word, shot his hand out and managed to grab Yazoo by the upper arm. the weight and force of his younger brother pulled him down a few more feet, but he managed to level off, his grip tightning on Yazoo to make sure he did not fall.

Growling Loz moved his other hand and lifted Yazoo up to eye level. He did not say anything about the fall instead just holding his brother up, letting Yazoo adjust so he could fly again. It not Loz would carry him to Mother.

Dark Nation gave another whine, taking a few steps towards the door and then back to Tseng, knowing better than to put his teeth around anyone in a blue suit (without orders, that is) and so moving behind him and nudging him forward slightly.

Something had been very wrong, and whatever it was, Tseng would help.

Feeling a jolt and sudden stop, Yazoo opened his eyes to look up at Loz. A smile formed on his lips as he was brought into his elder brother's arms.. he should've known Loz wouldn't let anything happen to him, they were too much in sync to not have him react fast enough. "Thank you." He said softly and winched as he tried to unfold his wing.

"My shoulder hurts.." he muttered before remembering the cure materia he had on him. A wave of green magic flowed over both him and Loz and h e sighed in relief, stretching out his wing again. "You can let me go now, brother." He said with a little purr of amusement.

Cissnei nodded as she took in that information. "I'll make sure the General is being watched, Sir." She said, not sure if he'd had his former title returned to him but at least Rufus would know which General she was talking about.

"Is there anything else you need me for, Sir?" She asked as she pocketed her key card and decided she'd have to scope out a room of her own before hunting down Fair and giving him a peace of her mind for dying after she'd helped him escape.

Gently and slowly Loz let go of Yazoo. He wanted to make sure that his younger brother was alright to fly on his own before letting him to Fully. once he was satisfied with his brother he gave a small nod and started to fly after Kadaj.

The oldest remnant liked the idea of getting there faster then the others. Reaching their Mother and doing her bidding, helping her goal.

Loz was never going to be the favorite but he never cared about that. He and Yazoo were there to hep Kadaj, to be Kadaj's arms in the war for Mother.

Yazoo nodded that he was ok to Loz and took off after Kadaj, catching up to their younger brother he levelled off and flew in silence. He was sure they were heading in the right direction but he couldn't be certain exactly where Mother was, he glanced at Kadaj and just hoped that their leader knew where he was going, that Mother had told him her location.

Yazoo smirked, he couldn't wait to actually see Mother!

The Lifestream was behind this? That was interesting to say the least, but at least the Lifestream was against Jenova still, there was always hope as long as the Lifestream kept going. This was a lot to take in, but at least he had someone who would keep him in the loop. To many over looked the pilot in all his years of life. Its why he liked being in Cloud's group, they mostly keep him informed.... Other then the little mix up earlier today.

"%$@*&$' hell.... Is anyone workin' on some $#@& cure or sumthin'?" Cid asked before the big hound took over Tseng's attention. "I'd be thin'in he wants yah to fallow him. Has that 'fetch' look in his eyes" Cid mused.

Tseng shook his head. "I'm not even sure there is a cure, this infection is more potent form of geostigma, that is all I know right now. It's a pity Aerith hasn't returned to us yet." He sighed, thinking of the Ancient girl and her healing magics.

Petting DN on the head he nodded. "Ok I get it, lead us to him, Dark." He said and followed the hound, knowing it was probably Reno who needed attention. If it was the President the hound would be even more aggressive and determined in getting Tseng to follow him.

Zack looked to Denzel as they were escorted to the elevator.
He didn't like the aspect of being locked away to a single floor.
"Sure we will." Zack smiled at Denzel. "We can train tomorrow. We'll just have to go outside to train."
He ruffled Denzel's hair as he stepped into the elevator and shot the soldier's a dark look.
"We know the rest of the way thank you."

It was then he was given two key cards.
"For access to that floor sir. We're sorry Reeve's orders."
Zack pulled Denzel to his side when the doors to the lift closed separating him and Denzel away from the soliders.
He could feel his blood boiling. He hated being locked away. He let out a breath as Denzel and himself we left to themselves in the elevator.
"Service elevator tomorrow I'm guessing."
That pull that Jenova had was starting to look more and more attractive.
He shivered. The conflicting thoughts between the right thing to do with enduring the isolation or to submit full and get freedom.

Freedom, his freedom it was all he had wanted last time and since he got back he'd been ordered round constantly.
'Maybe that's all I'm good at doing taking orders... being a good soldier.' It was a morbid thought.
The elevator stopped on the thirteenth floor and Zack stepped off looking round the floor.
It looked interesting a series of bedrooms and offices.
"Well guess this is our new home until they can get us better."
