| The time was growing closer with each day. He had created each of them, physical forms so limited compared to his spirit that could flow freely across the planet, however they were not complete. He needed them to survive, needed that particular one to be strong enough in order to retrieve her cells. Only then would he be complete. He continued to exist as long as some remembered him and even now he did this.
He sought to spread a message, a reminder to Cloud that he was still here, still thinking of him. He would always be here and soon enough he would have his revenge.
The green eyes pierced as he entered the landscape of the mind and called the leader to him. He would make Kadaj understand the power that was needed. | |

| Kadaj's eyes widened and pupils dilated as a sharp pain ran through his head, his hand clutching fruitlessly at where it hurt most. Closing his eyes only intensified the stabbing sensation and he gave a soft whimper as he staggered forward.
The pain suddenly lessened as his movement, his fingers slowly untangling from his hair. Just as he felt stronger again the pain returned, the boy falling to his knees with a cry and dragging himself forward again to make it stop.
As long as he kept moving, the pain lessened. As long as he kept moving in the right direction, at least - it intensified if he turned the wrong way, crippling him from moving until he grit his teeth and forced himself forward again.

| Yes, that was it. Kadaj was meant to come to him. He was his tool, him and the other avatars of his existence. They were his gateway back to the Planet where he could make certain that Cloud understood the message. He needed to make certain he knew the stigma was because of him, his invitation for the reunion where he would finally appear again.
Yes, Cloud would be given his gift, the one he truly deserved.
Within the mental landscape Sephiroth reached out a hand. "Come to me Kadaj, come and learn of your true power."
Fingers curled as he beckoned him. He was to be the one, his gateway. Certainly he should be pleased that he was the one that filled his purposes of the three that were created. He was the only one with power enough. | |

| Whispers in a voice he knew but could not name echoed through the pain, the indistinguishable words stabbing deeper into his mind as his physical body crawled for the safety of the corner, his back pressed against the wall, his side pressed against the other as feverish eyes glanced around him.
"Stop..." he murmured to no one, knowing there wasn't a soul that could hear him. "Please..."
The pain stabbed into him again and he curled up tighter as the darkness took him, his physical form slumping almost lifelessly against the walls where he had propped himself, shallow breathing the only indicator that he still lived.
As his eyes closed on the physical world they opened in the incorporeal, his eyes looking up into those of an identical green.
"I know your face," he said slowly, trying to figure who it was that stood before him, who had called him so forcefully from one realm to the next. | |

| There he was, standing before him. He was a teenager, a boy, but inside he held the strength to endure his form. That was what he had created this boy for. Sephiroth stepped forward and the long hair shifted around his body with his steps. The green eyes flickered down and the cat-like pupils took in the view of Kadaj. He was so small, so insignificant, but he was the key to his emergence.
There was not a breath, not a blink, no, he was a divine creature. He transcended humanity a wielded the negative lifestream within the palm of his hand.
No longer was he any mere mortal, he had transcended long ago beyond such a form.
A gloved hand reached out and touched Kadaj's chin as the fingers moved to tilt his head up. "You shall do." | |

| "I..?" Kadaj started to question what it was that had been said but forced himself to stop, watching the other figure with a frown.
Every movement was achingly familiar, every tendril of hair as it shifted and conformed to the steps. Watching him stirred the sense of looking into a warped mirror and seeing what you could be, what you were meant to be.
He wrenched his face from the other's touch and took a step back, a wave of nausea coming over him as he tried to to make sense of what it was he was feeling.

| He had spirit. Yes, this one would do to be his doorway, the one that would present Cloud his gift, the one that he had prepared for him. "I am what those of that world called Sephiroth. I have created you in my image so that you may spread this message to that world, that their days are numbered. They shall be sentenced for their actions," Sephiroth drew his hand back.
"And I shall give you what you need to do so. It shall be my gift, my child."
The green eyes seemed to practically burn with the intense fire. They would be his form, and on that world they would bring his message, the whispers introduced by the stigma and when Cloud understood, when they had found her cells to make him whole again, only then could he emerge. | |

| A silver eyebrow arched upwards, his eyes never leaving Sephiroth's form. "You should have made me taller," he quipped lightly before looking away from him, his gaze occupied on the surrounding nothingness that seemed bathed in green light.
"What if I don't want this? I have no desire to bow to anyone and act as their serf."
The cocky pride was something he didn't know was within him, but even as he spoke the words he knew it to be true - he was not one to let another control him so easily with so few words. | |

| There was no sign of annoyance, no, no emotion except for pure hatred for the planet and those that sought to question his power, and even they took a place behind his desire for Cloud to understand that he would always be there, always be watching. To make him understand that he did this all for him.
The gloved hand moved away and steel glinted as Masamune appeared within his hand. His perfect hair shifted in invisible air as he twisted the blade. It shone brightly, its edge sparking in the dimness. Lightly Sephiroth lifted a hand and the leather brushed over Kadaj's skin. No, he was only created from him, a portion of his power. Finally he spoke again, his velvet voice emerging from perfect lips.
"Do you truly believe you have a choice?"
That hand moved away and beckoned him closer. | |

| As Sephiroth moved back and beckoned Kadaj to move closer, the young man felt the pull of the gesture inside of him and knew that he had no choice at all.
His feet moved forward of their own accord, his body closer to that of the form before him. He felt as though his pulse should be racing but his body gave no reaction except for what was asked of it.
"Then what is it that you would give me?"
There was more to this than the man had stated, he could feel it physically as much as his mind could sense it. He still felt as though he should be panicked, and still his body remained motionless. | |

The long coat shifted as Sephiroth took a step forward, his intense eyes locked on Kadaj's form. "But first your cells must be completed. You are an empty shell, and my cells shall fill you."
The leather coated hand reached up and stroked Kadaj's cheek. "My cells will give you untold powers until the day you are made whole by her," slowly Sephiroth dropped his head slightly to be at level with Kadaj. "Take this gift." | |

| Though he was reluctant, he knew now what he was being told was true. He was hollow, empty... incomplete. He had felt that, known it before it was even said. If this was what was needed to be a whole person, to be more than he was... this was his path.
His destiny.
Unwavering he matched Sephiroth's gaze. "Who is she?" He questioned softly, knowing the question was as blasphemous as the answer was sacred. He should know... he knew that too. | |

Even before he would give an answer Sephiroth knew what it would be. He knew this pawn created of himself, knew him intimately as he knew himself. "What will your answer be Kadaj? Do you chose greatness or to remain the hollow shell which you are."

| Kadaj's fingers twitched to grab at the hand that left him, but he forced himself to not allow his desperation at feeling complete to be so obvious.
"Mother..." he said quietly, reverently, looking from the hand to Sephiroth's face again. "If she is our mother and you are my creator..?"
His brow furrowed, confused as to what it all meant, and how it all worked. He assumed he didn't understand because he wasn't complete yet, it was something a whole person understood.

| Sephiroth watched the teen's expressions and then the answer, the one he knew was coming. There was a near smirk as Sephiroth leaned in. "I will place my cells in your body, and that will guide you, shall awaken your powers."
He leaned down and grasped Kadaj's chin roughly. He yanked it up and roughly pressed his lips against the other's. His tongue thrust forward into Kadaj's mouth, not about to allow the other any moment of doubt. He would make him his own, his puppet, and he would pass his message unto Cloud.
He would make Cloud see his hand in this. | |

| Kadaj fell into the kiss, not knowing what to do or what to think. Was a creator meant to do this? Was this how it was done? He didn't understand, and wasn't sure if he wanted to. It felt good, this man's lips on his, and he opened his mouth as bid on a command he didn't hear given.
His hand gradually came to rest of Sephiroth's chest, his body inching closer to him. He wanted more, whatever more was.
He pulled back after a while, gasping for air he didn't truly need in that place. "Is this how..?" He questioned, wanting the answer to be yes, more than an explanation. | |

| "Yes," Sephiroth's voice was a hiss as he stepped forward and pressed one leg between Kadaj's. He wrapped an arm around him and pulled him against his body as he claimed the lips again. He would give him his cells, his power, and Kadaj would serve him. He would be his doorway to the planet. With that power he could face Cloud again, he could make him suffer.

| Kadaj pressed himself against Sephiroth, his lips parting willingly for him and his tongue darting to flick over his lightly. He had no idea what he was doing but he was learning quickly, as if remembering a long forgotten fragment of memory.
One hand traced down Sephiroth's chest and rest on the waistband of his pants, fingers looping into it and pulling him a little closer but it wasn't enough.

Sephiroth dropped his mouth from Kadaj's lip and moved along his jaw. He was so young, so weak looking, but with his power he would do. He would gather the memories of the people of the planet and as that knowledge grew so would his power. This was how he would return to the planet, and then he would complete his task. But to do that Kadaj needed his strength.
He would be useless to him if he perished at Cloud's hand. Slowly Sephiroth kissed down his neck. | |

Kadaj felt confused that Sephiroth wanted him to receive his cells, take his gift... and yet when he showed a willingness for it he was knocked back. Even so it had not stilled the elder's lips, Kadaj's eyes drifting closed as they grazed along his jaw and down his neck, a quiet sigh of contentment escaping him.
He would receive this, gladly, even if he had to be still until he was told he could move. He would not jeopardise this again by showing his eagerness to learn. | |

| Sephiroth's mouth continued to trail down his neck as fingers worked at Kadaj's clothes. They pressed at the binds and began to work them loose as he moved closer to Kadaj's body. One hand moved to his ass and Sephiroth pulled him close as his hips moved against the other's.
There was no reason to play, none other than to take this time of freedom and learn of the body that would someday be his portal to the planet. It was a shame however it had to come.
He needed to return. | |

| Kadaj gave a briefly confused look as Sephiroth began to undo his clothing, not understanding why they needed to be removed for this gift, but he did not argue as his head tilted slightly to expose more of his neck.
His fingers traced down to the small buckle that fastened Sephiroth's coat, nimble fingers marking light work of it and pushing the material apart to run his fingers to the fastenings of the straps across his chest, flicking them undone with ease and pushing them aside, pausing only to tug the gloves from his hands and discard them to press the skin of his fingers against the skin of Sephiroth's chest. | |

| He had never given Kadaj permission to remove his coat, but it seemed he would do as he wished and it would be required for the end result. The fingers brushed over the pale skin, chiseled in perfection. The people here were insects, and knowing what Kadaj was he was only above them because he was his tool. He was created to serve him, nothing more. If one must say what he was, he was a puppet. He was the messenger that would pass on his words to Cloud and make certain he was never forgotten.
Soon, very soon, he would meet Cloud again and as long as Cloud remembered he would continue to exist. He lived on because of Cloud.
A sharp nip was given to Kadaj's neck, a mark of possession, though he cared nothing for him. One hand caressed his skin in a touch akin to a lover as he began to undo the jacket first. | |

| A quiet, pleased sound escaped Kadaj and his fingers lightly dug into Sephiroth's firm chest. He was completely lost in the euphoric haze that these actions had placed him in. He wanted more, he wanted it now... but he knew he had to be patient, which was almost a torture within itself.
As Sephiroth began to pry the zipper down he almost held his breath, aching for those hands to touch him more. | |

| The nails scratched against his chest and Sephiroth glanced down at him. He was a pathetic weakling but still given enough strength he could serve his purpose. The zipper slipped down the rest of the way and he pushed the leather from his shoulders. A sharp nip was given to Kadaj's neck before his lips descended on Kadaj's chest. He seemed so young, so innocent, so foolish.
He would become aware of his destiny soon enough, as the doorway for his return.
That was truly his own purpose, a gateway for Sephiroth himself and a message to Cloud. | |
