The long hair fell away from his face with the hand that pushed it aside and moved back over his shoulder to keep it from covering his vision. Sephiroth leaned heavily on his arms as the rise and fall of his chest slowed slightly. It had never reached this point before, his needs often filled by strangers. It had been easier that way, however Sephiroth was certain it would not be returned to that anytime in the near future.

Zack moved and their chests pressed together followed by the lips. It was soft, gentle, but a feel that slowly was becoming familiar. There could only be silence for the moment, silence that spread between them.

Nothing, no hint that Reno and Tseng had heard him. Just their forms pulled together as Zack pressed close, able to inhale the close scent and feel the movement of his body.

Zack let the kiss linger for the moment. Enjoying the heat that had formed.
It was a warm feeling, welcoming. He couldn't let go just yet in case it was just a dream.
His fingers moved to roll through the long strands of hair.
Zack's other arm remaining hooked round Seph, just holding him close.

Warmth remained, the warmth of Zack's body against his own. In the past it was only a need, a desire, never something that was allowed to continue for long past the act. However there was no desire to push Zack away. Perhaps as a symbol of the relationship he had agreed to. Zack was a friend and companion, his contact wanted.

The fingers stroked through the long hair that hung, the touch pleasurable, desired, and for that moment he remained close to Zack.

Sephiroth leaned heavily on his forearms and one hand reached to trail through the soft spikes as he pressed close to him. For the moment he remained where he was and then slowly pulled out of Zack's body.

With Sephiroth pulling free. He could only suck in a breath.
He swallowed lightly looking up at Seph.
He felt a little bit selfish at that moment as he wanted to stay with Seph.
But he knew Tseng would eventually want to sleep.
No way that'd happen if he ended up staying in the room.
But he could at least linger until Tseng came in to the room at least.
Zack leaned up kissing Seph again. He really didn't want to go just yet.

For the moment it was just quiet, the silence encompassed them as his head dropped. Eyes focused on the other as he moved up into the kiss. One hand reached up and gripped the side of his face as he pressed back into the kiss. Fingers lightly stroked Zack's jaw as he pressed his body close to the other's. Still Zack's warmth remained as he leaned heavily on his arms.

Slowly, reluctantly Sephiroth pulled back and moved to the side in order to lie next to Zack. Fingers lightly combed through the spikes as he leaned back against the pillows.

Zack rolled over on his side he looked at Seph and smiled.
He wasn't sure what to say without saying something stupid.
But that seemed to be his trademark.
"That was the best opening to a relationship I've had."

But when he thought about it, he didn't have many relationships last.
Shinra had been the cause of the separations in the past.
This time though he'd make sure it was different.
He'd make this one work, without it getting in the way of work.

Sephiroth's attention lingered on Zack for a moment as he laid beside him, his chest rose and feel calmly as he reached out and brushed the strand out of his face. His gaze focused on him for a moment as he rested there. Fingers trailed over his jaw and rested back against the bed. "Then I managed to do something correctly in this."

His gaze remained on Zack, unblinking as he watched the other man beside him.

There was silence for the moment as he pressed against Zack's form.

Zack smiled at Sephiroth. "Of course you did."
He lent in close wrapping his arms round Seph in comfort.
Zack pressed his lips to Seph. "You kinda just learn as you go."
He wanted to assure Seph that he would be fine.

The soft kiss was pressed back as arms were wrapped around him and for the moment there was just silence after and he held Zack just as close. There were things that needed to be done, however for the moment they were pushed to the back of his mind as he rested with the warm form of the man within his arms.

Sephiroth shifted slightly as he held Zack close, his mind for the moment having shifted from the constant wonderings and debates. He was no longer the same as he had been and redemption was no closer but he was far more at ease.

It was a silent comfort, and Zack didn't mind it. Even as the soft kisses were returned.
Fingers sifting through Seph's hair. It was a nice sensation to just hold him.
To make sure that Seph knew he would be alright. That everything they had just become was fine.
It was a need Zack felt he had to make sure Seph understood and that no matter what it was a good memory.
Something placed in the here and now to outnumber all the bad. For Seph to look back on with fondness.

Sephiroth remained still for that moment as the fingers stroked through his hair. He held him close and silently listened for Tseng's footsteps that would end this all too quickly. For now they remained alone there. Fingers moved through Zack's hair as he kissed him again briefly before he held him within his arms.

"Stay here, until Tseng comes to force you out."

It was just them, away from the chaos of the outside world, a world that was falling apart even now. It was not his own actions this time, but Jenova still waited somewhere. There was no promise they could defeat her and when faced with it he did not know if he could end Zack's life if needed.

Zack grinned at Seph. "I wasn't planning on moving just yet."
He was quite comfortable where he was after all.
Still he couldn't' wait till they both actually, properly got some alone time.
He continued to let fingers sift through Seph's hair softly.

There was a moment of relief that Zack had no such intention and for that moment Sephiroth held Zack close. It was not a normal action for him but for the moment there remained a need to keep him there, as if that alone could keep him safe from Jenova's grasp. The fingers continued their slow strokes, something so few had dared and not for many years.

"Perhaps you will be fortunate and Tseng will see the sense in trading rooms for the night."

Sephiroth's gaze flickered down to Zack as he watched him, the battle-worn fingers running through the silver strands. For this moment alone it was truly peaceful.

"Well if he and Reno want a moment's peace I'm sure Reno could twist his arm to it."
Well Zack was sure if anyone could it would be Reno and Rufus. Reno on a different level though.
The two were like fire and ice so different yet they seemed to work that alone amused him.
Gave that little bit of hope that he and Seph could do it too.

Zack enjoyed the feeling of arms around him and he was quite content to stay there until forced.
Even then they'd have a bit of a mission moving him, he was starting to feel just that bit tired now.

"It could be suggested to him," Sephiroth murmured and he rested lightly against the top of his head. He did not doubt that it would take more than a small bit of hinting to Reno, however that would include leaving which there was no plan to at the moment. One hand dropped to the back of Zack's head as fingers dug into the raven strands.

For this moment everything seemed to be working, but that could end too quickly. Any enemy could destroy this in an instant.

Slowly his hand drew away for him as he watched Zack within his arms.

Zack grinned a little. He certainly hoped it could.
He felt more than relaxed as Seph's fingers going through his hair.
He couldn't help but let out a contented sigh. He really didn't want to move.
Zack let out a yawn and he rested his head down for a bit.
"Think they'd mind if I just lay here for a bit, catch up on some Z's?"

Zack remained in his arms and there was no desire to move him even when he yawned. "Go to sleep Zack, if Tseng insists on you moving I will wake you."

But for now there was no reason to move the younger man as he held him there. Everything had changed since his return and this was just another of those. Everything else could be sorted later. Sephiroth's attention lingered on him as he held him within his arms.

It was nothing he was accustomed to but still comfortable.

"Sweet thanks Seph." Zack mumbled as his eyes closed.
The warmth of Sephiroth's arm was just what he needed at the moment.
It was easy for him to just slowly drift off in this state.

Sephiroth turned and focused on Zack as he fell asleep. This humanity was worth it, it was worth it to fight, if this was his reward. For the moment however he just remained there with Zack in his arms. Eyes remained open as he watched him for a few long moments before they were forced shut, his body forced to relax.

There was no threat, not right now, no reason to remain on guard.

He could force himself to take solace in that moment of comfort.
