Erasing the thoughts of his pain was not worth causing more to Zack. There were other ways of distraction, but then all he could do was desperately try to bring back the armor which had protected him from Angeal's death. The same that had shattered and only now that he allowed himself to feel did he begin to feel the grief of losing both.
