Mission from Hell [M] Empty
PostSubject: Mission from Hell [M]   Mission from Hell [M] Icon_minitimeFri Mar 09, 2012 8:08 am

Grime clung to him like a second skin. Even the great General was not immune to such things when on a mission in the swamps, the rain pouring down on him. He understood that it was important, whispers of Wutai troops hiding in the swamp, but certainly they had others they could have sent. Their best was required, and was meant to be dealt with quickly.

All Sephiroth desired was to return to Midgar, to his apartment with a shower and a warm bed. But even once he returned as leader he was expected to file a report. Becoming cleaned up was a long way off, especially with the broken truck and the inability to leave until it was repaired. Everything had gone wrong, and after days tracking down the Wutai troops to this hellhole even his paitence was waning.

There was not much more to go on, especially with the risk of pneumonia that spread through the men.

Sephiroth stood in silence, his eyes locked forward along the edge of camp. He was not to be treated any differently, and so even he would take watch. With the rain beating down his back, turning dirt into mud, splattering against the mud that seemed to cover every inch, Sephiroth wondered how it was that he had landed this specific mission rather than Angeal or Genesis.

He could hear the men behind him, the mix of SOLDIER, Infantry, and Turk who had tracked down the Wutai troops. They were all his responsibility as General. He was still frozen down to the bones and if he had been anyone else he would fear hypothermia, but he was not. Still at this point he would give anything for warmth.

PostSubject: Re: Mission from Hell [M]   Mission from Hell [M] Icon_minitimeFri Mar 09, 2012 8:17 am

Reno looked up from the truck engine as the unmissable squelch of someone tracking through the mud came to his ears. He nudged the goggles from over his eyes and used them to push back his sweat drenched hair, squinting through the sheets of rain to see who it was.

It wasn't easy to bite back the laugh when he took in the General's appearance though he was no better off himself, covered in mud, oil, sweat and engine grease. He was spared the rain only because he'd convinced them to set one of the tents over the truck so he could prod inside it without drowning it and himself.

It was a futile attempt having Reno work on the engine - he knew about as much about auto-mobiles as he did about cooking a gourmet meal, and at that point in time he was thinking that a gourmet meal would be an easier task. Still, it was better than sitting on his butt all day and no one else was much more educated in the matter.

He wiped his hands on what was once a white shirt, not caring that it was beyond saving - when it was beyond wearing it would get used as a rag for something while they were out there and then binned when they got back.

He covered his mouth with the back of his hand as he gave a quiet cough, trying not to let anyone know that he was just as screwed by the weather as everyone else. He couldn't afford to be ill, and being one of the few Turks on the team he couldn't afford to show weakness in front of the SOLDIER.

"Any news, General?" He queried with a chipper grin, determined to keep that smile plastered on, no matter what it took.

Sephiroth glanced back at the young Turk who had spoken up, the one that was trying to fix the engine. With the interference from the storm raising headquarters seemed like a distant hope. Despite their technology there had been no sign of any rescue from this hellhole for the men or himself. And even if there was he would not leave the men to freeze while he escaped. The silver hair clung to him, no longer swaying easily, the drenched leather and hair sending a shudder that was supressed. Even now his bare chest froze beneath the jacket, the rest of his body nearly as numb.

He heard a cough but kept any response from his face.

"There is nothing," he said as he studied the other for a moment. He was far older than he had been when sent on his first mission. "We have been unable to raise headquarters and no sign of any transportation."

At this point he was certain many of the men were wishing that they had been captured by Wutai troops. At least then they would be warm.

"You may return to the tents. It will do us no good for you to fall ill."

"In there, out here... It's all as cold, yo," Reno sighed, wiping his hands on his thighs this time. "Short of stripping starkers and bundling up together we're all going to freeze. If pneumonia don't kill us first, that is. Or the Wutes. Depends on how it goes, I guess. Though only an idiot would be out here in this weather, so it's likely just us out here and it's the weather that'll do it."

He paused and gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry, I'm not good with quiet and you're the first person to even offer half a word to me all day. Brain fell out of mouth, and all that. We'll be fine." The wind whipped through and he gave a quiet shudder. "Or soon enough we won't care."

He closed the hood of the car with a sigh and jumped onto it, swinging his legs a little and knocking his heels against the bumper - it was the closest he could get to kicking it without getting written up. "We tried to boost the signal on the transmitter but nothing is going to get through this cloud. Short of getting to higher ground and seeing if we can get through it but... I can't see past you to tell if there's anything tall enough out there."

He jumped down and offered his hand to the General. "I'm Reno. Not that it matters, and not that I matter, I know," he smirked. "It's the good thing to be polite, though. Or that's what they keep telling me, yo."

It was the truth, there was a high likelyhood that they would die. It was something he could not allow to happen, or at least not alone. There were still monsters out there and in the shape his men were in there would be no chance of fighting them. Even with his superior power, the mako running through his bloodstream, he could still freeze. "Then perhaps it would be best to find someone who would do just that."

He was talkative, so unlike so many others. Sephiroth was accustomed to the bowing and scraping, the stunned silence as many tried to utter a few words. He was used to it, awe, respect, worship, fear, hatred... All except a few that treated him as a human. This boy however was unusual.

Slowly Sephiroth's gaze wavered towards the dark clouds that poured rain onto them. Their only hope was that the storm stopped before they all froze and could reach someone. With the introduction Sephiroth turned back. There was never any need to introduce himself, had never done it for years. It was just something he had grown accustomed to. At the offered hand Sephiroth reached over and gripped it.

"It is a pleasure, Reno."

PostSubject: Re: Mission from Hell [M]   Mission from Hell [M] Icon_minitimeFri Mar 09, 2012 9:20 am

Reno shook his hand with a grin, a cheeky glint in his eyes. "So, your bunk or mine?" He let the words hang in the air for a moment before continuing. "I'm less likely to get sick bunked in with you, and if the others are too stupid to figure out basic survival skills then I'd rather not risk dying naked with them."

In many respects, Reno was surprising himself as much as Sephiroth. Had it been under any other circumstances he might have just nodded and done as he was told and let that be all the interaction he had with the General, but things were bleak - facing the possibility of your own mortality injects a little more daring into you. There was also the fact that he found it hard to play subservient to someone who was only a few years older than himself, and he knew from experience that the more you bowed to someone of authority, the more they presumed to have over you.

... Besides, there wasn't really anyone better to get naked with than someone as obviously attractive as Sephiroth. Again, he didn't plan to die wrapped up and naked with an ugly idiot.

"If that was too forward I can slink into some corner somewhere and we can pretend this never happened," he chuckled, running his fingers through his hair just to get it off of his face. "But I have a feeling no one else would dare suggest getting up close and naked with you - I think they might die before having the balls to suggest it."

PostSubject: Re: Mission from Hell [M]   Mission from Hell [M] Icon_minitimeFri Mar 09, 2012 10:10 am

The shock was not evident on his face though he did feel it. An unusual feeling to be certain. No one had ever dared suggest a thing, well perhaps, maybe one or two others, but that was it. Sephiroth stared at the teen for a moment, the wet leather shifting against his skin uncomfortably. Slowly he glanced towards the outer edge of the camp, mentally debating whether it would be logically wrong for him to leave his post.

Everyone would likely excuse it, he was the General, and he would have been kept in his own personal tent, treated like he was above them. But he was a SOLDIER and leader first. He could not ask his men to do something that he himself would not, especially since he knew many of his second and first class SOLDIERS were older than he himself was. They respected him for his abilities but he was not stupid and realized that his age was something that would make things difficult. He was different, special, or so the scientists had explained.

"I suppose it could be equated to protecting my men," he finally said. He had as much responsibility to the young Turk as he did to the SOLDIERs surrounding them, and it was doubtful that the Wutai would attack. At this point standing watch was a mute point.

"Well, you're no good to them dead and without you they couldn't find their own asses in the dark," Reno purred, his eyes following where Sephiroth's trailed to, knowing what he was thinking. He shifted a little closer, for warmth of course, as he looked towards the main encampment.

"You're been on patrol for six hours, sir - I'm sure that someone else can take over for a while without anyone taking offence. They've hardly done that much between them."

His disdain for the SOLDIER with them wasn't very well concealed, and in part it was because they presumed him too young to be of use. He wouldn't have been there if they didn't need him, but they didn't see it that way. "Babysitting" was the term they used, though they would never dare venture such a slur to their leader.

"Come on, you can look after me a while and we'll it work." He grinned and stepped out of the tent's shelter into the driving rain, slowly making his way to what he knew was Sephiroth's personal tent. "It's this way, right? I know they set a tent for you, whether you asked them to or not. Such good boys."

Sephiroth turned back towards the Turk and finally after much mental debate gave a brief nod. He would be no good to anyone dead, and though he refused to hold himself above his men he knew Hojo would be very displeased if he died, even more so if he died and was torn apart by some creature, not allowing for a body to be returned for him to run his experiments on.

He knew many of his men would insist on his survival, or at least he was certain Genesis and Angeal would. This way he could protect this young Turk while also caring for himself. It was the most logical thing to do, and a dead leader was good to no one.

"Yes," he said as he turned towards the tents. "Over here." His muscles were stiff from the cold, and even mako enhanced vision struggled to make sense in the darkness. He knew where it was though, had mapped it out in his mind.

Reno nudged one of the SOLDIER with his foot as he passed. "Your turn to play guard dog, there's a good boy," he smirked, darting ahead and out of the man's reach before anything could be said or done. Nothing would have been done seeing as the General was within sight, but it stood to reason that it wasn't worth testing that theory.

The other men were too busy huddled around small fires they had managed to make in the entrances of their tents, so it was with ease that Reno opened Seph's and slipped in without anyone taking notice - he had a feeling that it might matter to the General if any saw them, no matter how they explained it.

He was no sooner out of the wind and rain that he started stripping off his boots and pants so that he wouldn't track the mud in any further. His jacket and shirt were soon to follow, and he found with little surprise that being naked was no colder than being dressed in wet clothes.

His eyes darted around the room for towels - something he presumed at least the general would have - while he wrung his hair out. The goggles were unceremoniously taken off and dropped atop the pile of clothes. He scrunched his toes into the ground as he gave a quiet yawn, and a soft cough.

"I'm not too bad at massage if you want me to see if I can do something about at least your shoulders, yo. One of us needs to be in working order after all." He looked to the General, clearly nonchalant at being butt naked.

"Towels are there," Sephiroth said as he motioned to a small pile. It seemed that someone had removed most of them but there were still some left. Hands reached up and undid his own jacket, the wet leather hitting the ground, heavy and drenched from the water it had absorbed. The gold armlet followed, his wet hair now against his back. It took a great deal to supress the shiver as his hair shifted against his strong bared back. In the light he could see the dinginess of the hair in his face, and there was no question that he probably did look a disaster.

"Make yourself comfortable."

Reaching down Sephiroth eased one boot off, followed by the other, his body aching and frozen, even when out of the wind.

Grateful for the directions he head for what remained of what was once a pile of towels, plucking one from the heap and roughly drying his skin. He felt like he ought to have stepped into the rain, pretended it was a cold shower and then dried off but he figured that it would only serve to make him more sick and that neither of them were going to smell like freshly laundered clothing.

He quickly wrapped his hair in the towel and grabbed another, going to Seph and carefully moving his hair from his back and draping the towel over his shoulders. He knew that he'd just engaged in the cardinal sin of touching the General's hair but no matter how well he thought he was hiding the shivers, Reno caught them. He moved away quickly, subconsciously showing he knew he had crossed a line and that it wasn't meant to be perceived as a threat.

"Guess you didn't think to pack any alcohol - brandy, whiskey... anything that burns on it's way down?"

He unwrapped his hair and began to dry it, taking a little more care with it than he had his skin - then again, his hair didn't need to feel warmer, just drier.

"Talking of warm - how many blankets do you think they left you?" he chuckled quietly, wrapping the towel around his hips for some sense of coverage and possible warmth, though it was now about as wet as his clothes had been and as such was quickly tossed onto that pile.

Zack stood up and moved out of his tent as it was being invaded with several of their armed forced coming in to raid his supplies with several:
"Sorry sir, need a towel" or "sorry sir need some blankets"
He had lost sleep due to the invasion on his tent and he wished he could be as imposing as Sephiroth that no one would dare 'borrow' from him at least not while he was in there unlike Zack who apparently had a much easier to approach attitude.

Angeal had vanished in Wutai for reasons Zack didn't know, only that Genesis was involved, so the first chance to come back to Wutai Zack had taken it. He had hoped he could have snuck out to find a trace of Angeal but so far it had been against him.

This downpour, the cold wind. Everything screamed that he was here for this mission from Hell and there would be not a single chance to sneak out and look for Angeal.

Zack grumbled as he walked round the corner towards their broken down transport and he tapped the side of the broken down vehicle. They were stranded until someone could fix the truck. Zack looked round and found the tools inside on the front seat. Zack had watched the Turk try to fix it and he had wanted to help but he had been so tired that he had just walked past and gone for a nap.

Zack knew he had a few mechanical points from fixing his old man's truck when growing up, perhaps he could bide time by fixing it and getting them out of here.

Sliding under the vehicle and pulling the tools with him he began to looking into where the Turk had been working.
"I think you don't know what you were doing..." He frowned and began on the repairs.

He felt the contact, and the shift of his hair. Very few dared touch his hair, meticulously cared for as it was. He could feel the towel around his shoulders and the warmth of it building. It was much better than the heavy drenched leather that seemed to cling to his skin. Common sense told him that the rest of his clothing would need to be removed and he stood and the belt was removed, followed by the pants. In silence Sephiroth retrieved a second towel which was wrapped around his shoulders.

"Zack Fair may have some, or one of the other SOLDIERS," Sephiroth's gaze locked on him. "I saw no need for alcohol on a mission, the blankets however are over there," he motioned to the large pile for a moment before returning to the cot. It was still cold however it was better than it had been, the leather clothing lying in a pile on the floor of the tent.

"Given your conclusion for the best way to remain warm I suggest you gather up the blankets and come over here."

Reno gave a wry smile and went for the blankets. "It was worth a thought - can't hurt to find a little more warmth somehow."

He gathered the blankets - three in total - and went over to the bunk, handing one to Seph and keeping hold of the other two for a moment. He wouldn't lie if the General asked what he was looking at, it was pretty obvious and needed no answer: even wet, muddy and looking like he'd been dragged through a hedge backwards he was definitely do-able... He was finely sculpted from head to toe and it was taking a great deal of effort for Reno to not run his hands all over him.

The smirk came back. "Now, are we going to spoon, snuggle or do you want me in your lap?" His amusement was clear, but he wasn't poking fun at Seph, but rather at a situation that had him needing to ask such a question. "It seems only polite to ask before I take matters into my own hands," he purred. "Though I did promise that massage, so maybe I should start there?"

Sephiroth reached out and took the blanket from Reno. He saw the stare, was familiar with them, they seemed to follow him constantly, however at this point he was certain he no longer resembled the great General paraded before so many of the people. But this boy had proven to surprise him since the beginning and Sephiroth was certain it would continue so. He raised an eyebrow at the steady stare and then the surprise continued.

And just as quickly he was brought back to the reality of the situation that he was in his tent naked with a Turk who was offering something that could potentially be seen as sexual. It would certainly make for an interesting story, and one he would never repeat.

"Perhaps you should, if you desire to fulfill that promise," he finally said.

"I don't make promises lightly, yo," Reno informed him, placing the two blankets besides the bunk. "And like I said, we need you in working order. Lay on your stomach and get as comfortable as you can on that thing."

He lightly cracked his knuckles and rolled his shoulders; if only he could massage himself too, but he would survive, he'd been through worse cramps and aches. For now, getting his hands on Seph would content him enough.

"I'll put a blanket on your ass," he grinned. "Might as well leave some skin contact for later - don't want to get too friendly too quickly... though I'm sure I've managed that already. Don't worry General, I'm harmless."

He gave a husky chuckle and waited to see if Seph would concede to his request, knowing he was probably unused to following orders rather than giving them.

It indeed was unusual to be given orders by anyone other than those above him and Hojo. He had fallen into a life where most were below him and many feared him. However this was an offer that would not be possible without following said order and the burning of his muscles that warmth had returned feeling to desired it. For now he was in what would most commonly be a bad position, with Masamune resting against the wall of the tent and his materia out of reach, however that would only be in the hands of the enemy.

"I am certain that at this point that is a mute concern," he said as he rested on his chest. The thick hair fell to the side, the wet strands pressed against his face. The normal scent seemed to disappear, instead there was the distinct scent of blood amidst the mud the clung to the strands.

Zack slid out from under the truck and he jumped to his feet and looked up at the sky the downpour pelted against his body and Zack breathed in the rain letting it wash the oil from his body. He opened the door to the driver's side and put the keys into the ignition turning it.

The engine rumbled for a moment before purring into life and he grinned.
"All right that's that done... now to fix that damn radio so we can call in some choppers." Zack pocketed the keys walking to the transmission ten and pushed the flaps to the side.
"How's it going here?"
He saw the exhausted faced of the group then looked to the radio.
"Go rest up I'll take over. We can't remain here for too long before the weather or the Wutai get us and I'd rather it was neither."

Zack sat down and looked at the piece of the radio that had been taken apart and he began to look at the wires and picked up a screw driver. He had to remain active somehow to keep his mind off how cold he truly was, how much he needed a proper shower and how much he really wanted to run off and look to for Angeal. He needed a distraction.

The strong metallic smell hit him but he took no notice - before joining the TURKs and since he had engaged in more than enough bloodshed to be covered from head to toe and so it wasn't something that phased him in the least.

He took the top blanket and shook it out, folding it neatly so it didn't drag on the ground too much and rested it neatly atop the General's pert buttocks. Without so much as a by-your-leave he straddled Seph, lightly perching on the blanket, rubbing his hands together for some semblance of warmth before running his hands over Seph's shoulders.

"Hmm, it's a wonder you can move, yo," he muttered, getting to work. He had a feeling he would be there a while and that he was going to be more Ren-cicle than Reno by the end of it, but a promise was a promise - and at that it was a promise that got him to closely examine Seph.

He kept in quiet awe of the muscles beneath his fingers, instead concentrating on working as deeply as possible. "Did you want to go full body, or would you rather I just stuck to up here?" he chuckled. "In for gil and all that..."

Normally he'd just get on with it and wait to be stopped, but there was something aside from Seph's rank that made him give out warnings and seek permission. He supposed it was because the General didn't seem to have a friend in the world... that side of it at least. It had to come with the job - you can't control an army and expect to be pally with everyone in your command - that would make things far more difficult when things went wrong.

Kind of like how they were...

The driving rain on the tent drowned out any other outside sounds. It was as though they were completely isolated from the world.. A little disconcerting but intriguing in that it gave a sense of freedom.

"Whichever you desire," Sephiroth could feel the warmth of Reno's hands, the first warmth in hours. The cold of the rain reminded him too often of the chilled metal instruments, the sterile enviroment of the labs where he spent so much of his time. He was their General, and now he was being pampered at the skilled hands of the young Turk. It was not where he belonged, but rather huddle by the small flames with his men.

It was however something he had agreed to. He could only take was was freely given now.

The warmth of the hands was tempting, as it was the only warmth in hours.

Mission from Hell [M] Empty

As the knots and tensions were relieved in Seph's shoulders he moved further down his back, ensuring every inch of muscle and flesh was kneaded and manipulated. The blanket slowly moved further down Seph's thighs and calves until Reno was perched on the end of the bunk, thumbs working their way into the soles of his feet.

Eventually he placed down the second foot and got to his feet, slapping Seph lightly on one butt cheek. "That's one side done," he chuckled. "Roll over and I can do your arms and thighs."

It had occurred to him that it was a surreal situation, but he was happily ignoring how odd it was and chalking it down to serving his superior in the only way he could figure to be of use. The pleasure of touching every inch of him had absolutely nothing to do with it...

Much...

"Not much longer and then you can keep me warm for a while," he chuckled, a little alarmed that he wasn't feeling the cold so much but choosing not to show it.

Very few dared to touch him like that, the crass hit to his ass and instinctively the General had moved, his green eyes locked on Reno for a passing moment before he forced himself to relax. It was instinctual, an automatic reaction despite his knowledge. Without a word he turned over onto his back, his eyes remaining on Reno for a long passing moment.

"You're cold," he said, his voice even. Reaching up Sephiroth pulled him down against his body. If the point was to keep them warmed than logic said that Reno freezing defeated the purpose of it completely.

Reno didn't argue as he was pulled onto the bunk, curling into him with a slight shudder as Sephiroth's warm flesh met his and the jolting realisation of the cold hit him again. "Hmm, but you're warmer now," he chuckled, groping for the third blanket, tugging it up and tossing it over the both of them. "Probably not for long with me against you, but we might have a fighting chance."

Without much thought to what he was doing, he nuzzled Seph's chest lightly, his eyes closing with a small yawn. "Mph... mustn't sleep... might not wake up," he grumbled, tugging the blankets a little closer around them both. "Can't go dyin' on you - literally."

Arms wrapped around Reno and he held him close, his own body used to heat the young Turk. He could not allow harm to come to him or any of the other men in his care. He was their leader, and it was foolish for him to have left his post, however now he would do what he could. Moving slightly he eased Reno onto his side and curled up against him, the blankets pulled tight.

"Remain awake, that is an order," he said from behind him.

"If you are unable to I shall find a way to keep you awake." He knew that if the mission went any worse he would be at fault. He was their leader, and any casualties rested on his shoulders. Hojo would undoubtedly prod him for the reason of the failure, more time in the labs, more experiments, pushed until the reason was discovered and fixed. The scientists always said it was because he was different.
